This is a terminal for storage and distribution of petrol products located in the Port of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The storage capacity is 220,000 m3, distributed in 13 tanks with a range of capacities of 7500 m3 to 30,000 m3.
The main activity of the terminal is bunkering, with it having a long, very deep jetty with 2 loading points to carry out offloading and loading operations with vessels and barges. It has 3 islets for the loading of tanker trucks, fully automated, for fuel oil and diesel fuel. On one of these it has a continuous fuel oil and diesel fuel mixing system to obtain IFO mixes. The installations carried out are the following:
ELECTRICITY
- 20-kV reception and transformation centre and three 1000-kVA transformers
- 1250-kVA diesel generator
- General low-voltage distribution panel
- Engine manoeuvring panel
- High-efficiency speed shifters with low harmonic IGBT technology for 400-kW pumps
- Laying of trays and power cables for ATEX zones
- Exterior lighting, tanks and truck-loading and auxiliary zones
- Supply and assembly of electrical tracing for interior fuel oil pipes
- Stirring of fuel oil tanks and LCO by means of stirrers
INSTRUMENTATION
- Supply and assembly of Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) and distribution panel
- Installation of the tank-level measuring system
- Supply and installation of the truck-loading system, including product counters, earthing and overload detection. Assembly in an electrically and mechanically-built module, including loading arms
- Installation of the auxiliary instrumentation of the terminal
- Fuel oil tank-heating system with thermal oil
- Laying of trays and power control cables for ATEX zones
- Closed-circuit television and intercom and public address system
AUTOMATION AND CONTROL
- Supply and assembly of the control panel with PLC and communications system
- Development of the control software of the terminal, including the tank-levelling system, loading and offloading of vessels, automatic truck-loading, product pumps, and entry and exit scales
- Each islet has 2 bottom loading arms for fuel oil. One of these can perform continuous fuel oil and diesel fuel mixing to obtain IFO mixes.
- Development of mix software for fuel oil and LCO/ diesel fuel in the tank by means of the transfer of products and stirring
- Development of the SCADA supervision software of the terminal
- Development of the management software of the terminal
- Remote maintenance service for the control system
