Motived by the growing and worrying increase in waste from building and demolition in the district of Vallés Oriental, and by the human and legislative need to safeguard the environment, the CONSORTIUM FOR WASTE MANAGEMENT OF VALLÉS ORIENTAL is working on THE EXTENSION TO THE ANAEROBIC DIGESTION PROCESS AND THE CAPACITY OF THE COMPOSTING PLANT OF THE DISTRICT WASTE PROCESSING CENTRE OF VALLES ORIENTAL for the anaerobic digestion of organic waste and the obtainment of biogas.

The nominal consumption power is 2781 kVA. The power available is 3830 kVA. The plant produces electrical energy with the biogas produced in the processes, and two 1000-kVA transformers will be installed for the exportation of the electrical energy into the network.
