The Zenata Ikea project on the outskirts of Casablanca covers an area of 26,000 m2 and required an investment of approximately 40 million euros, making it the most important base that the Swedish firm has the Maghreb.
SURIS MORROCO collaborated on this project, acting as consultants for the owners throughout the entire process and carried out all of the works. The works included the following installations: electrical (LV and MV), fire detection, structured cabling network, sound systems, intercoms, automated security systems, and centralised technical management.
A single-storey building on a gradient covering a total surface area of 26,000 m2 destined for commercial use. The complex includes public access areas (warehouses, retail, restaurants and kitchen) and areas destined for the exclusive use of IKEA (technical units and offices). The project also included the installation of lighting for the access roads and an exterior carpark with a capacity of 1,200 vehicles.
Works carried out:
MV installation: 22.5kV supply and transformer station 2 x 1,250 kVA
LV Installation: electrical panels, UPS, condenser batteries, power, interior and exterior lighting
Emergency Supply: Diesel generators 1,250 kVA including fuel transfer.
Earthing system and lightning protection
Fire detection: 600 fire detection points
Communication and sound systems: intercoms and PA system with a total of 400 speakers and projectors.
Voice and data systems: Structured cabling with 1,500 access points
Centralised management: Automated control of security systems and alarms (activating HVAC systems, heat and smoke vents, alarms, emergency exits) and centralised general control of the building (utility readings, activation of lighting per area, HVAC control and settings, ventilation and fire extinguishers etc)

Emergency supply: 1 diesel generator of 1,250 kVA
